A Reddit user shared a story about a dog who was concerned that his owners’ newborn baby was hungry and brought him his own bowl of food. At first, the animal’s owners couldn’t understand why he wasn’t eating.
This went on until someone in the household suggested that the dog was trying to “feed” the infant in this way. Then the owners tried putting a bowl of food in the baby’s bowl and the dog’s bowl at the same time, and it worked.

“When my brother had his baby, the dog started guarding him outside the bedroom and chasing the other dog away when he came near him. Even when it was time to eat, he wouldn’t leave his post, so they had to bring their food.”
