“A request for help”: a frozen stray cat knocked on the woman’s window and asked to enter

This is a story about a cat who did his best to get by. However, life threw more at him than the little buddy could handle, and so he was left with only one thing to do: knock on doors and ask for help.

On Valentine’s Day, a woman heard strange noises coming from her backyard. She went there to investigate and found an orange cat standing in the snow and scratching at her door.

The lady took photos and got in touch with Marie Simard, founder of Un Chat à la Fois, a rescuer and foster parent of kittens in Quebec, Canada.

The cat’s blood was then drawn and the x-rays taken, the cat wasn’t wild at all,” Simard said . She named him Aslan in honor of the lion in The Chronicles of Narnia series.

At first we thought it was a cat living in the house because it was very cuddly. It wasn’t microchipped and it wasn’t neutered.

We assumed he was left behind by irresponsible owners. We have a lot of cats that have been left behind by people – people who can’t afford to pay for vet care.”

The cat had, frostbite, decayed teeth, an allergy bite wound and parasites. His blood work was very poor and he had to stay in the hospital for a few days to stabilize before going to his foster home.

“He had surgery for his rotten teeth. He also had problems with his eyes, which were fixed with surgery. “

The veterinarian’s assessment was that the cat would not survive the severe winter due to his condition and that he was saved at the last minute.

Aslan was very grateful to the people who responded to his meow for help. Simard said Aslan was very nice to the clinic workers and would put his paw out of the cage so workers could pet him.

All the love and care helped the cat’s health tremendously. In a few days, Aslan was doing better and ready to finish his recovery in a foster home.

After Aslan was well and ready for a family, Simard told his foster family it was time for them to post Aslan’s adoption form so people could apply.

But Aslan’s foster mom immediately told her that he had already found his family and she wanted him to stay with her. Simard agreed.

He befriended two other cats, Jasmin and Cleo. Due to diabetes, Aslan received a special diet.

In fact, his owner has to watch her own plates closely because Aslan would not hesitate to steal her food.

“Aslan is a very affectionate cat. He has forgotten his outdoor life, he doesn’t try to go outside. He likes to sleep on his pillow and cuddle. “
