Animal rights activists rescued a pit bull from the street: the dog proved to be good-natured and even made friends with the cats

A man called an animal rescue center in the U.S. to report that a male pit bull terrier had been sitting near trash cans for two days. The caller suspected that the dog had grown fed up with his owners and had been thrown into a landfill.

When animal control officers arrived on the scene, they saw a frightened pit bull trying to hide behind a dumpster. The dog was apparently confused and did not know where to go. He tried to stay out of sight when children threw rocks at him. Fortunately, the dog was able to avoid serious injury.

The dog was hungry and immediately took a hamburger from the hands of the animal guardian. He calmly had the collar put on and got into the car. When everyone had taken their seats, the pit bull trustingly laid his head on the driver’s lap as if to thank him for saving him.

The shelter team named the dog “Buddha” because of his calm and gentle nature. The dog made friends with all the residents of the shelter, even the cats
