Three kittens were left without a mother: a kind hen decided to warm them up
When the Kurdish farmer Goran heard a meowing from the chicken coop, he could not imagine what he would see. The farmer’s first thought was that the cats had gotten there – which meant that all the hens were in danger. The adult hen would be able to PROTECT herself, but what about the chickens? So the boy rushed inside to clean up the mess.
To his surprise, there were no cats to be seen. The chickens were perfectly still, none of them rushing or pecking as if a predator had invaded the coop. But the meowing continued, a thin, muffled voice coming from a corner.
He would have thought it was a large white hen, sitting in a box with her feathers spread out as if she were hatching an egg. But Goran knew there had been no eggs at all yesterday.
The farmer thought something strange was going on. It was as if he could almost guess what it was – the thought flashed in his subconscious, but it wouldn’t enter his conscious mind.
So he turned on his smartphone camera and started shooting a video: whatever surprise was waiting for him, it was going to be a surprise for all his subscribers. Goran approached the chicken and gently moved it from the perch, lifting its feathers.
Under the white down appeared a red butt with a thin carrot tail, and above it appeared the face of a kitten with huge, fearful eyes. Goran lifted the mother hen slightly and realized that under her lush plumage were three kittens!
The kittens obviously did not want to leave the cozy shelter – only one, the bravest, climbed over the edge of the box and crawled with thin paws towards the man.
The kittens were incredibly thin. Although their eyes had already opened, they were very weak: although the hen had taken the little ones into her care, warmed them and surrounded them with love, she could not feed them properly. Goran immediately took the babies and nursed them.
