A woman rescued three wolf pups. Now they have become proud adult animals

An American woman, Tonya, has become famous for rescuing animals in her city. Small, sick and simply needy animals were brought to her day and night. So when the phone rang at her home well after midnight, she was not surprised.

A concerned male voice on the other end of the line said that three puppies were perishing at an unscrupulous breeder’s home. He worked for her as a gardener. The man heard that she thought the puppies were underdeveloped and decided to let them freeze in a cramped cage outside.

Tonya knew the woman. She bought the puppies back from her. The breeder was happy to at least get some money for them.

The puppies were not easy. They were wolf cubs. It was not clear how the breeder got them and why she did not recognize them as wild predators.

But for Tonya, these questions were not important. The main thing for her was to save the three cubs. They were very weak and needed careful care.

Over the next few months, Tonya nursed the little ones. She even gave them beautiful Indian names – Wakipi, which means Dancing Shadow, Yautu – He Who Sings for Me, and Wanagi – The Master Spirit.

A whole twelve years have passed since then. Wolves have lived in the wild for a long time. But occasionally they come to their “godmother” who rescued them with much love and set them free.
