“We do the impossible”: veterinarians gave second life to puppies found

These pups lived with horrible people who did not care for them. Eventually the babies got sick and lost all of their hair.

When Christina Rinaldi, CEO of Detroit Dog Rescue (DDR), picked up six puppies from the Department of Animal Control, she was shocked.

The abandoned pups were found in an abandoned house in Detroit, Michigan. They were pink and bald, with painful ulcers all over their bodies, and had a very high fever.

The reason the dogs lost their hair was itchy. “I’ve seen a lot of scabies rescuing dogs in my career, but that was the worst I’ve ever seen,” said Rinaldi.

Inaldi took the puppies to the vet, but unfortunately two of them couldn’t survive the disease and died on the way to the clinic. As for the other four, the vet said, “We will fight the impossible”.

They stayed in the clinic for about 12 weeks and received the right treatment.

The puppies soon recovered and were ready to go to loving families.
