A cat on the run from the fire jumped from the fifth floor, the footage is fascinating

This cat after jumping from the fifth floor of a building in smoke now probably has eight more lives.

A video of her stunt was filmed by firefighters in Chicago.

First she felt the edge of the window with her paws, then slumped toward the foot of the building. She even managed to miss the wall, which would certainly make it harder for her to land, writes CBS.

After the fall, she bounced once, as in the cartoon, and quickly fled the scene of the stunt.

“She went under my car and spent a few minutes there to recover from the fall. She then began weighing the wall to see if she could climb back, ”said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford.

The cause of the fire in the building is not known yet, but no one was injured in it, including the cat, Langford added.
