The Colorado resident had been planning this vacation to Bali for months. But when a young woman discovered a puppy in desperate need of help in a foreign country, she just couldn’t let it go.
This touching story began a year ago when a resident of the American town of Golden, named Taylor, went on a long-awaited vacation to the island of Bali. While riding her scooter, she noticed a small dog on the side of the road. When Taylor stopped, the dirty and hungry pup came right up to her, and the American’s heart melted.
Although her flight home was still five days away, the woman decided to cancel her plans and help the dog. She took the puppy to her bungalow and fed it well. Taylor hoped she could find him a new home and good owners before leaving for the United States.
But fate would have it otherwise: a few hours after she met him, the dog became ill. At the local veterinary hospital, they diagnosed the dog with severe anemia and a tick-borne disease. The doctor warned that the puppy would need constant care for several months – it was the only way he could recover.
Taylor didn’t hesitate for a second. She left the puppy, whom she named Stevie Tix, at a local clinic and immediately flew to the U.S. herself to extend her visa for an extended stay in Indonesia.
The woman soon returned and stayed in Bali for another three months to care for Stevie Tix. When the dog was on the mend, she arranged for his transport to the United States. This proved to be a challenge. Local laws prohibit the import and export of dogs from the island, so Taylor had to hire a private carrier to transport Stevie Tix from Bali to Jakarta.From the capital, the woman traveled home to Colorado with the pup.
Stevie Tix is very lucky with her owner – Taylor surrounds her pet with love and care. The dog has fully recovered and now travels a lot with her owner, wears beautiful outfits and lives the life one can only dream of! Did this dirty and sick puppy know what kind of future awaits him?
