The story of Sophie and Scottie is the story of getting to know two very shy pets. Seeing an elegant Sophie one day, Scottie immediately fell in love with her. He cautiously followed her everywhere. Where could polite courtship lead?
Sophie was rescued as a baby in Boston in 2014. A few months later, the kitten moved to her forever home with a loving owner. On one of her walks, Sophie had an admirer.
The owner recalls, “The first time, Scottie spied us across the lawn, but kept his distance and tried not to give away his presence. Then the observation point was moved to the driveway.”
So for a few weeks the interested cat secretly admired the girl of his dreams. Sophie did not pay attention to the admirer at first. Then Scottie became bold and began to come closer. Sophie did not show her displeasure, but did not hurry to make contact either.
It took a few more weeks before the cavalier decided to formally introduce himself to his lady of the heart. Since then, Sophie did not take a walk without the company of the red-haired boy. Scottie’s serious feelings seem to have impressed Sophie!
Now the couple has an obligatory morning ritual: they sit and admire each other. And during the day Scottie is usually busy repeating everything Sophie does. Together they go for walks, play and watch the birds.
Finally, after a long period of courtship, the animals have clearly declared themselves a couple.
“When Scottie sees us sitting on the porch, he comes over and politely waits on the sidewalk for my girl. They look so good together!”
