Among tourists, Tarako National Park is one of the most popular places in Taiwan. Therefore, amidst the picturesque nature of the park, a guest house was built where you can spend time and stay overnight.
When a woman was walking in the park, she saw a sad picture. In a stove that people had built from an old barrel, there was a dog. It looked terrible. The dog had three legs and one front leg was covered with blood.
Later it became clear that the poor animal fell into one of the traps that are all over Taiwan. The dog was not aggressive at all and even very affectionate, he was about a year old, but how much he has been through!
Sean McCormack is a local resident dedicated to saving the lives of animals in need. The woman immediately messaged him and sent a photo of the unfortunate dog. Sean immediately responded, he immediately went to help.
The guy made a route on the map to the guest house, but unexpectedly encountered a problem. To get to the right place, you need to overcome the mountains – the hike must be very difficult, you had to go through the most impassable places.
It was possible to find another way, but there was no time for that, because the animal could die at any moment. Sean asked his friend Rous Tweedy, who knows the area well, to help him get to the guest house.
Everything worked out just fine. After 6 hours of difficult travel, the boys were there. But it turned out that the dog was gone … After searching, they still found a dog, a scared and wounded animal hiding under a mountain in front of stacked tables and chairs.
Sean was able to befriend the dog. It turned out to be a boy, whom the rescuers named Sandy! The wounds were dressed, the dog was wrapped up, the guy put him in a big backpack and they headed back.
All the way, Sandy sat quietly on the back of his rescuers (the guys took turns carrying the backpack), as if he knew people were doing something good for him.
As soon as Sean and Rose went down the mountains, they immediately took the dog to the vet. Sandy had to endure a leg amputation, but doctors say he can have a small prosthesis.
While the animal was being treated, there were people who wrote that they were ready to adopt the dog and give the pet a new home, love, affection and care.
