An American couple, Carol and Vern King, had a beloved border collie dog named Katie. Once the couple went to Montana and took a 7-year-old pet with them.
While the owners went about their business, a four-legged friend was waiting for them in the hotel room. But when the husband and wife returned to the hotel, they did not find the animal there. Apparently, the dog was afraid of thunder and fled.
The owners hurried to look for their favorite tail. They checked all the floors, nooks and crannies in the hotel.
Nearby, many notices were posted about the missing dog, and about 500 sheets were distributed to passers-by. Even at night, the owners did not stop searching for the pet with night vision devices.
Strangers offered their help. Someone created groups on Facebook and other social networks. There was not a single person in the city who did not know about the disappearance of the dog.
The owners did not give up hope and continued to search for the fugitive. Carol even had to quit her job for her shaggy pet. The woman worked at the post office.
The owners searched for the dog for almost two months. But they never found him.
And then one day the phone rang. A man reported that an unknown dog was sitting in his yard and looked a lot like Katie.
While the couple arrived at the given address, the dog managed to escape. The man and the woman began walking through the neighboring streets interviewing passersby. One man said he had seen a similar pet not far from here. At that moment, a woman approached the couple and pointed in the direction of the growing trees. Then they saw their fugitive.
They rushed to the dog, grabbed it in one arm and started hugging it.
At the same time, the spouses cried and screamed with happiness. Passing cars stopped and did not understand what was going on. When everyone found out the reason for this stormy joy, they hugged a couple with their pet.
The dog was immediately taken to the vet. She looked very thin and gaunt. The doctor said that her pet was dehydrated and lost 5 kg. Even the doctor recognized Katie.
Now the dog could recover morally and physically.
