The real beauty: volunteers rescued the horse Heidi, in whose rescue already no one believed

A pony named Heidi was discovered on a construction site in the UK. The condition of the animal was terrible, so the builders thought that it was no longer alive. But the animal was still breathing, so the workers launched a real rescue operation.

The volunteers who were called to the construction site did everything they could to save the horse and began to fight for its life, taking the animal to the Here4Horses shelter.

Their hard work, the attentive attitude of the veterinarians and Heidi’s will to live helped the animal to recover.

Of course, the pony was in terrible condition for a long time.

Dirt damaged his coat and skin – all the low-quality fur had to be shaved. At the same time, the extreme degree of exhaustion of the animal was noted.

And because of the numerous wounds that opened up after the horse was sheared for veterinarians, several blood transfusions were required. Several stronger residents of the shelter were donors.

A weight loss program based on caloric surplus and proper nutrition also helped. Over time, the pony even began to walk, sit and stand on his own.

Judging by its appearance, luxurious mane and good mass, it cannot even be said that the horse was in danger of dying. The animal continues to live in a horse house, walks a lot and delights the rescuers with his cheerfulness.
