This story happened in the mountains. Everything happened near the forest. One of the inhabitants of this village was Nikolai, who had just turned five years old.
He had only one friend – a wolf named Gray. Two friends were born in almost one day.
A friend of the family brought Nicholas to the baptism. The parents gladly accepted the puppy, but no one suspected that it was a wolf. Time passed … Gray grew up with Nicholas. They became inseparable friends. Where there is Nikolai, there is Gray. Every day the wolf went step by step with the boy.
Tragedy suddenly appeared … On the mother’s birthday, many relatives came, and the wolf was attached to the leash. The parents were worried. Only after dinner it became clear that the boy was not at home. Everyone in the village was looking for a child, no one saw or heard anything.
People have already reached the forest and now. Then someone began to joke to tear the wolf: “Let him look, although it is useless, no dog …”. But they decided to try. As soon as he was released from prison, he immediately rushed into the dark forest. Nobody expected such a reaction.
On the second day after the tragedy, a boy was found. The mushroom picker discovered Nikolai in the forest, grabbing Grey with both hands. The wolf howled and cried for help. The boy was in dirty clothes. His face was scratched. The boy was taken to the hospital. Ambulance doctors were surprised he was still alive.
Gray remained lying down. His neck was swollen from the bite of a viper. With the last of his strength, the wolf pulled the baby out of the woods to save him. The last thing he saw were doctors.
People were surprised by the human action of the wolf. The whole village was crying. Gray was buried on the outskirts of the village near a large pine tree, and a beautiful monument was erected at the wolf’s gravesite.
Nikolay is already an adult. As soon as he arrives in the village, he immediately goes to the monument of his friend, who once saved him from death.
