Mourning cat visits the grave of its deceased master every day for over a year

It is impressive how loyal pets can be, even if their owners have already passed away. There are countless stories about dogs in particular, how they always stayed by their beloved owner’s side even after their death.

But what about cats? Dogs are man’s best friend, but cats are often described as aloof and unconcerned.

But a heartbreaking story shows that cats can also feel endless love and even mourn their masters when they pass away.

A man named Keli Keningau Prayitno saw a cat lying in the same place over and over again, in the middle of the island of Java in Indonesia.

When he looked closer, he realized the sad truth: the cat was visiting the grave of its former master, an old woman who had passed away.

“Ever since her “mama” died, she stayed at her grave all the time,” Keli told the Mirror.

“She just doesn’t want to go home.”

The cat has visited the grave daily for over a year now. Keli wanted to adopt her and has given her food and water. But the cat doesn’t want to follow anyone else, she wants to stay with her late owner.

Keli explained that the children of the deceased lady took care of the cat, but the cat always leaves home immediately and goes to the grave.

“She eats and after that she goes back to the graveyard. She sleeps there and meows.

It’s so sad to see. And it shows how closely animals can be linked to their owners.

What a sad story. The grieving cat will probably stay by her human mama’s side for the rest of her life.

Rest in peace. Your cat is taking good care of you.
