A missing pet is a real grief for owners. They try to find it by all means. This woman had waited 13 years for her cat to return, and she finally got it!
Animal rescuer and volunteer Alison Ferguson, 42, is happy to announce that fluffy Jill has found her home after 13 years. The cat’s owner, 35-year-old Kelly LaVett, lives in South Carolina.
A volunteer discovered that the foundling had a microchip. After reading the information from it, Allison learned that the cat was 121 kilometers from the address where it was registered.
The chip did not store any information about the animal’s owner, other than its name. Alison decided to post a picture of the found cat on Facebook and send messages to all female Connecticut residents with the name Kelly Amandrell, which was given when the animal was registered.
It’s hard to believe, but the volunteer received a response from the cat’s owner, 35-year-old Kelly LaVett. The animal went missing 13 years ago. At that time, the kitten was named Abby and had only been living in Kelly’s home for a month.
The lucky owner gave her found pet a new name – Jill.
When the woman received the news from volunteer Alison, she was pleasantly surprised and insanely happy.
During the time the cat was gone, Kelly graduated from college, got married and had two children. She had worked as a teacher in another city for ten years and had recently returned.
The animal spent the first few days getting used to its new surroundings, then finally settled in. Now the cat literally follows at her owner’s heels, sleeping beside her and purring softly.
The joyful meeting after 13 years is a sign of destiny. The poor animal had walked more than 100 kilometers and endured many hardships before coming home. Miracles do happen, especially for those who know how to wait.
