Many stories have been told about the friendship between cats and dogs, so let’s add one more to this list.
A young woman named Eliza Collins is a great dog lover, but her attitude towards cats was colder. Nevertheless, it happened that it was the fluffy purr Alvin who came to her house and became the first pet in Eliza’s independent life. But, of course, the desire to own a dog did not subside, and soon Eliza had a dog named Baron.
Despite the mistress’s fears, Alvin and Baron became very close friends. Years passed and everything was fine until trouble happened – a serious illness hit the dog. This was reflected in the fact that the dog sometimes suddenly fell and began to beat during some attacks, had a fever and trembled.
Veterinarians prescribed a medication, and it seemed to help reduce the number of seizures to a minimum, but only after taking this medication the dog became lethargic and sad for a long time.
At first Alvin did not understand at all what was happening, and looked at her sick friend with some horror. But then everything changed. At the moment when the Baron was lying and sad after taking the medication, the cat began to lick the dog’s face and neck, spending almost all the time with him.
She tried so hard to please the friend that Baron had to give in to the cat’s pressure. Thus, the dog perked up much faster.
Over time, the dog’s seizures almost disappeared. But sometimes there are. It is noteworthy that Alvin somehow senses their approach in advance and begins to show concern. This gives the owner time to cope more easily.
By the way, the Baron likes to pet a cat so much that even when he is not threatened with illness, he often comes to Alvin and gives him his face to “wash”.
