These cute animals have serious health problems. But they have a great friendship.
A pigeon named Herman can’t fly and a puppy named Lindy can’t move normally. This pair is being treated by the New York Foundation to help animals and birds with birth defects.
Chihuahua Lindy, with a congenital spinal injury, befriended Herman, a pigeon whose underdeveloped wings don’t work at all.
Sue Rogers, who founded this nonprofit foundation, said the two foundation shelter animals became friends almost immediately, showing their affection for each other at every turn.
It all started when Sue, while taking care of Lindy, put Herman next to the puppy. She first observed the animals, fearing that they might harm each other.
But after a few minutes of their communication, her fears dissolved – the puppy and the pigeon showed friendliness. And it was very cute and unusual.
