An old cat “persuaded” her new owner to return to the shelter and take her even older friend with her

Friendship is a strong feeling, especially if you have been friends with your friend for a long time (in this case, of course, by cat standards). So our heroes today have spent more than 10 years in the same house – it’s a very worthy time.

The 11-year-old cat Mojo and his 16-year-old friend Max have spent many years with the owner. The cats have always been together, have become such inseparable friends that they simply could not live without each other.

But one day the owners just couldn’t support the older pets anymore, so animals ended up in a shelter. There the cats were separated and they sat in different cages and were very bored.

In general, there was no particular hope that the animals will find new family. And it was out of the question that someone would take both of them, because the age of the cats is already high. It always scares people.

But for the youngest, Mojo, the shelter staff found new owners, and the cat went to a woman’s home. She was told the story of Mojo and his companion’s strong friendship, but of course she didn’t want to take both.

The woman’s new cat, contrary to her expectations, seemed to become even sadder than in the shelter. And the cat Mojo often did something like this: she lay down, looked at the woman with sad eyes and ” mumbled” softly. And yet the woman liked the cat very much and there was no thought of taking it back to the shelter. On the other hand, thoughts about taking Mojo’s comrade appeared from day to day.

In general, the shelter staff was surprised to see the same woman again, who asked them for another pet – a male cat named Max.

So Mojo and Max were reunited. Boredom and sadness disappeared, now these old friends will quietly continue to live, enjoying love and care of the new owner.
