Man fights 13 ft alligator with bare hands to save his dog

Ever since rescued dog Loki became part of the Tweddale family, he and his human friends have been practically inseparable. The 6-year-old four-legged friend especially loves Trent and his young son Connor and lives with all of them on a farm in Florida.

The Tweddales’ farm is located in a very natural area. Relaxing walks and excursions are the best thing to do. But one of these relaxing walks almost turned into a tragedy. Little Loki was attacked by a huge alligator. Luckily, Trent was with him and heroically stood in the animal’s way.

Trent and Loki were walking along the banks of a river, where the dog was playing and dipping his paws in the water. But like a scene from a horror movie, an alligator about four feet long grabbed Loki’s paw and pulled him into the water. When Trent saw this, he immediately tried to pull Loki out.

At first, he pulled on his collar. But when he saw that the alligator wouldn’t let go, he went into the water and hit the fearsome reptile on the head until it retreated disoriented and let the poor dog go. What courage Trent had! But the two were also lucky that the animal decided to forgo its prey. The whole thing could have ended much, much worse.

Although Loki was in shock and seriously injured, he was saved. Kristina, Trent’s wife tells on Facebook how big the shock was when she saw her husband coming back from the walk with the bleeding dog. The family feared the worst for Loki, as the alligator had done a terrible job on him. But everyone stood by Loki the whole time and the dog survived. Although it took a long time for him to fully recover, he quickly regained his good mood and is looking forward to romping around again soon. Hopefully it won’t be long and the walk will be just an ugly memory.
