Dog dies 15 minutes after its 25-year-old owner loses sad battle with cancer

Every dog owner knows that the bond between a person and their four-legged friend is one of the strongest forces in the world. When an owner loses their dog, they can be just as devastated as if they lost a family member. Sometimes when a dog loses its owner, it loses its spirit entirely.

Stuart Hutchison was a 25-year-old man from the United Kingdom who was known to be very loving, kind and compassionate. He was an incredible animal lover who had three beloved dogs. Tragically, this wonderful young man was battling an inoperable brain tumor. After eight years of chemotherapy and treatment, Stuart finally succumbed to his disease, People reports.

While Stuart loved all of his dogs, he had a special relationship with his French bulldog, Nero. The two were absolutely inseparable. Fifteen minutes after Stuart died from his illness, Nero followed his master to his death.

“Nero was the dog that was always with him,” Stuart’s mother, Fiona Conaghan, told People.

Stuart and Nero leave behind people and canine friends who loved them dearly. Stuart is survived by his wife Danielle, to whom he had been married for only a year at the time of his tragic death. The couple’s other two dogs are Nala, Nero’s companion, and Amelia, their puppy.

Stuart also leaves behind his mother, 52-year-old Fiona Conaghan, who had cared for her son full time in the months leading up to his death. Fiona said that although they knew the end was near, the loss of their son was still very painful, People reported.

Nero was only two years old when he died. Although he had recently struggled with health problems with his spine, he was mostly in good health. This has led some of Stuart and Danielle’s friends and family to speculate that it may not have been a physical illness that killed Nero. Perhaps he just didn’t want to go on living without his best friend.

While none of us can know what lies ahead after this life, we would like to believe that Nero and Stuart are reunited and together again.

This story proves that the bond between people and pets can be just as strong as the bonds people form with each other.
